Daniel Cross (born 1974) was a late 20th century descendent of the Russian Assassin Nikolai Orelov. Abstergo Industries kidnapped Daniel at an early age. Under the designation Subject 4, his genetic memory was explored and his mind experimented by Abstergo.

Daniel was instrumental in the assassination of the mentor, the leading member of the modern-day Assassins, and the near-destruction of the Brotherhood in 2000.
